The KRL-Forrest showing area is underlain by Devonian sedimentary and volcanic rocks of the Stikine Assemblage. The Devonian Forrest Kerr Pluton is in contact to the immediate west of the Stikine package. Plutonic rocks consist primarily of Late Devonian granite and diorite.

Several samples taken by Avondale Resources in 1989-1990 southwest of their Forrest claims were high in copper, up to 0.48 per cent (Assessment Report 20562, Figure 65).

Refer to the Forrest occurrence (104B 380) for a common work history of the Forrest Property and to KRL (104B 421) that discusses work over the same area by Kestrel Resources in 1988 to 1990.
